Health and social care workers are required to register with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) in order to practise. HCPC registration means that service users can be sure they are receiving a service from someone who is properly qualified to do the job they claim to be able to do. HCPC registration is overseen and regularly renewed and provides assurance that the worker demonstrates and continues to meet a rigorous set of nationally agreed standards of professional skills, conduct and behaviour.
