Vulnerable Child and Adolescent subgroup 

The Vulnerable Child and Adolescent (VCA) subgroup oversees contextual safeguarding practice developments alongside the scrutiny of the Pre-MACE operational panel. 

Modern slavery, kidnapping, trafficking, harmful sexual behaviour (HSB), gangs and groups, significant juvenile violence, child sexual exploitation, knife crime, and child criminal exploitation are covered in this workstream. The VCA subgroup collaborates with the community safety partnerships, which oversee the youth safety strategies in each borough.
